MOZHY’S Art Perspective:
I am and always will be rooted in my Persian culture with its poetry, the tales, the history, the political complexities, and the strength of the men & women I identify with. In juxtaposition, I now have the Canadian perspective and am embracing what I see every day in the beautiful nature of Vancouver Island, Canada. It was said by the Prime Minister of Canada that "Our strength (meaning Canada) is in our diversity ”. I want to reflect that ‘strength’ through my art so that all who view it feel empowered and energized.
I would like to celebrate the beauty I see every day, in any season in one of the most beautiful parts of the world, Vancouver Island. I would, equally, like to pay tribute to my homeland of Iran and its people through my paintings. I wish to continue to paint Abstract art, Nature art, and the strength of the human spirit.
For me, abstract art is a process of exploring in the absence of any recognizable objects. I allow things to develop by exploration of the colors, movements, shape, and texture. I allow imperfections to define my art during the process and am not stressed about the outcome. It is my desire that the viewer of my art piece will feel equally contemplative and calm.
The most important aspect for me is the freedom of using colors and shapes and materials in my art works. I believe that there is a language in shapes and colors and movements in any painting. Every person viewing a piece of art has their own interpretation; the piece of art viewed will bring forward different feelings or emotions or imaginations in the eyes of the viewer.
